Wud
Wud was a progressive rock and AOR band from Exeter that exhibited great potential and never quite lived up to it due to being too short-lived. Wud performed during most of 1985 and was offered a deal with Island Records which would severely compromise their artistic integrity, so Wud declined the offer.
Wud featured the songwriting talents of George Davies (guitar, vocals) and Ken Staple (vocals, guitar). Later it also featured the likes of Marc Greatorex (bass), Graham Barbe (drums), Simon Miller (percussion), and for a short time, Zaphod (flute, keys) and Gavin (drums).
Wud rhymes with mud, flood and bud. Wud doesn’t rhyme with would, could or should.
