BSoD: Sidmouth Folk Festival 2010

Look out for the Bastard Sons of Dennis at Sidmouth Folk Festival 2010. They will be performing live at various venues on Wednesday 4th August to Friday 6th August.

In recent times they have been busy working on new material and playing the odd show at the Hole in the Wall, the Oddfellows and the Amber Rooms. Tonight they are returning to the Hole in the Wall to play some of their new songs.

    Being born in Sidmouth and musically active there for 28years there is a certain degree of ownership felt by locals and this probably came through in our announcement. I remember jamming with Steve Knightly on tJacobs Ladder beach at the "fringe" last night in 1987, now you can`t get hold of tickets to see him ! Roll on the fringe !

    that's lovely. Lots of bands (probably over a hundred each year) play in an unofficial capacity on the festival "fringe". But it might be a good idea to make it clear in future that this is is the case, as the current wording of your announcement is somewhat ambiguous. Cheers.

    They will be playing in locations such as the sea front and various bars and open mic events. Hope you manage to check them out, they've played at Sidmouth most years in some form or another since 1982.

    I'm intrigued too...I am the artistic director of Sidmouth FolkWeek, and I haven't booked them. I would be interested to know why the band thinks they are playing at this year's festival.

    I look forward to hearing them in Sidmouth. However, I've recently finished compiling the programme for Sidmouth FolkWeek and they are not one of the booked guests. Any information on where they will be performing?
