Following their recent successful lunchtime performance at Exeter’s Fuel Cafe, The Bastard Sons of Dennis will be performing live at The Old Firehouse on Sunday 24th April, which is Easter Sunday. There will be many other splendid acts playing there that night and the evening will be finished off with some DJ action. Entry is free. More details will follow soon in our news section.

The Bastard Sons of Dennis: Easter Sunday show
Dark Company: Killer included in compilation podcast
Dark Company’s first single from 1991 Killer has been included in a popular monthly compilation podcast and blog known as the Kaleidophonic Stroboscope. The playlist includes Aphex Twin, Thin Lizzy, Ozric Tentacles, Pulp and various other acts.
We have a link to the Kaleidophonic Stroboscope in our links page already and if you would like to listen to the whole compilation you can do so by clicking here.
Wud Records: technical issues
Some of you have noticed the recent lack of sonic uploads from Wud Records. This is due to some ongoing technical difficulties in Studio One which are more serious and cunningly formed than the technical difficulties ongoing in Studio Two and Studio Three. We hope to be able to solve all of these difficulties at some point fairly soon and will keep you updated in our news posts. Meanwhile, here is some music. Uh, wait a minute, no music. Here’s the sound of a bloke with a beard and a horrible jumper doing some hammering.
The Bastard Sons of Dennis: two more gigs
We are pleased to let you all know about two forthcoming dates that The Bastard Sons of Dennis will be playing. Both will be completely free to enjoy and they will be much longer shows than their normal hit-and-run performances.
First up is The Fuel Cafe, North Street, Exeter on Saturday April 2nd 2011. This is a lunchtime performance which starts at 12:00 and goes on until around 2:30, so be there early! You can enjoy a beautiful lunch whilst the terrible twins aid your digestion with their special brand of humour and virtuosity.
The second show we can tell you about will be on Saturday May 28th 2011 at the NBI, St Davids Hill, Exeter, and is an evening performance. We recommend that you arrive in reasonable time as it is likely to be busy. The show will begin around 8:30pm and will go on until around midnight.
We may be able to broadcast these shows live and direct. There will be further news on this topic soon. If no live broadcast is possible, we hope to be able to bring you some video and audio footage soon after the event.
Dark Company: works of art
In an effort to design the cover art to some of the unfinished and progressing Dark Company albums, we have found and uploaded an old batch of Pete’s artwork along with some pictures that he has created recently. You can see the latest additions to Pete’s gallery by clicking here.
The Bastard Sons of Dennis: live shows
After a recent return to form with their splendid recordings and some strong performances at The Hole in the Wall and the NBI, it would seem that our deranged duo will be performing some longer shows in the near future at the NBI and the Fuel Cafe. We will let you know more about these shows when they are confirmed. The next planned performance for The Bastard Sons of Dennis is for The Oddfellows on Monday 7th February.
