It’s been a busy time for Dark Company at the Wud Records studio. After a reasonably large amount of twiddling, the entire Bad Habits album is now at Beta stage completion and has been pleasing the ears of a few humans. Further twiddlage is planned soon.

To keep Pete busy during the forthcoming weeks, an entire set of guides for the Mind Dance album have been recorded. This album only ever reached demo stage before, so we are looking forward to hearing how it develops. Sven the Mighty will be laying down the drums for Mind Dance when we have confirmed his work on Bad Habits is done.

A new playlist of Alchemeon songs has been uploaded. These are recent versions of the Alchemeon set and feature a new song, Crazy Mandy. Andy is yet to make an appearance on the Alchemeon recordings and it is hoped that he will be included in the next episode.

There will allegedly be a festival performance on 4th July, although at present there are few details available.

The mighty Clonk! will be playing live at the open mic night at The Angel, Queen Street, Exeter on Thursday 16th April 2009.

Yesterday there was a highly successful Alchemeon rehearsal involving Pok, Andy and George. Andy is being integrated into the mighty Alchemeon line-up as lead vocalist.

There are some festival performances in the pipeline, including possibly the Mandala Stage at Glastonbury, some Sidmouth Folk Festival appearances and The Green Man Festival in Wales. More news will follow.

The Bad Habits album is now finished.

April Fool!

Alright, so here is some proper news… With Pete’s parts for the Bad Habits album being largely finished until post-production takes places, Dark Company have been working on some of the songs from Mind Dance in order to give The Endless Word something useful to do in his remaining time on Planet Earth. The song Number 6 is virtually finished after Martin recorded the talkover a few weeks ago. Several guides have also been recorded for other songs on that album.

The Wud Records studio is waiting on some new computer parts before three more of the Bad Habits songs can be completed.

Finally! After many months in the wilderness – well, Woodbury is almost a wilderness – Emma finally managed to appear for a short while and some guide tracks were recorded for some Clonk! songs. More are planned as indeed is an album.

The songs that were recorded were Off That Ride, Reckon You’ll Ever Win and a song based on the Flicker tune Mihuno!, which may be called How Do You Feel.

It would seem there may be some live performances coming along for the mighty Clonk! as well, so watch this space.
