Mark Drower and the Everyones: photos uploaded

Posted by Wudmaster on 11/10/10

We’ve found and uploaded photos of the final night’s performance of Everyone at The King’s School, Ottery St Mary in July 1982. There are only four photos because they were taken using a truly awful camera that only had four flashes and no zoom or anything modern like that.

Although you cannot actually see Mark or Simon, they are on a gantry above and to the right of the stage and in the fourth photo you can see some of the cast applauding them. We hope to try to identify some of these people when Professor Dinboffin makes his next visit to Devonshire.

Dark Company: Signmaker remastered

Posted by Wudmaster on 15/09/10

Dark Company’s first album from 1991, Signmaker, has been digitally remastered and it sounds fantastic! We await our graphics department’s work in updating the album artwork and then we shall be re-releasing the album on CD by mail order and mp3 for download. We are also looking into making .wav files available for download as well at some point in the near future.

In other Dark Company news, Pete’s health has been deteriorating and he has barely managed to do anything for quite some time now apart from touch up a couple of vocal tracks from the forthcoming re-release of the Mind Dance album.

We will post more news on all of these subjects in the near future, including giving a release date for Signmaker. We plan to give away a few promotional copies through various online media we use, so keep a look out for our offers.

Mr Lijkkes is back from his holidays which means the Bastard Sons of Dennis will be performing live at a venue near you very soon! They had a successful rehearsal earlier this evening and discovered that they still remember how to play their songs.

They may be investigating the possibility of an open mic night at the North Bridge on Wednesday. More information will follow soon.

You can keep up to date with the Bastard Sons of Dennis by following them on Twitter, which you can easily do from their home page here at the Wud Records website.

Dark Company: Night Man

Posted by Wudmaster on 24/08/10

We’ve uploaded the penultimate track of Dark Company’s Bad Habits album. This song is called Night Man and is an unashamed tongue-in-cheek playground cock-rock anthem that tweaks the nose of political correctness and health and safety all across the world.

The Bastard Sons of Dennis: more shows announced

Posted by Wudmaster on 31/07/10

The Bastard Sons of Dennis have been rehearsing new songs recently, and they finally managed to perform live at the Hole in the Wall on Tuesday, including the very first performances of two of their own pieces, Second Act and Ten Years Later. There are several more shows coming up over the next few days.

On Monday they plan to play at the Oddfellows in Exeter, Tuesday will be the Hole in the Wall again, and on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday they will be appearing at Sidmouth Folk Festival in a variety of locations. We will have more information for you soon on Sidmouth.

The Bastard Sons of Dennis have also been recording some more tracks for their free CDs and demos. This last week has seen them record Before The Kiss, A Redcap and Wings Wetted Down. We plan to upload their songs here when they are finished. They almost have a working PA system as well, so plan to play more longer shows when that has been fully fixed.
