We have launched the remastered Exit Stage Deaf album, which is a compilation of the two demos that Rough Terrain made.

The first from 1987 was made largely at Howell Road, Exeter with the drums being recorded in what was then The Riverside Club.

The second was recorded at Daylight Recording Studios, Honiton in the summer of 1988.

Exit Stage Deaf was the name of the band’s tour that was printed on their posters.

Now that we have remastered this seminal work by Mark Drower and the Everyones and have a new shop at Bandcamp, it seemed sensible to offer this collection of four beautiful acoustic songs for sale to anybody who would like a digital copy. Dark Company’s album Signmaker is now available to buy in a convenient currency as digital downloads of various types from Bandcamp. The whole album or single tracks can be purchased. At present, the CD can only be bought directly from Wud Records by mail order or from a few selected record shops.

Signmaker was remastered and re-released with new artwork recently and features the singles Killer, Crash, Astrologer and Armed & Dangerous. Here is a list of places where the album can be bought:

After a most appallingly frightful Health and Safety incident, in which several thousand people – and kittens – were killed (for their own good), we have been forced to transfer our entire Wud Records shop to Bandcamp due to a bizarre faulty plumbing fiasco in our own shop. A 200-mile exclusion zone has been set up and is being guarded by the combined naval might of Slovakia and Zambia.
