Dark Company: Damaged and Care in the Community

Posted by Wudmaster on 13/07/14

The alpha mixes of Damaged and Care in the Community have been uploaded to Dark Company‘s Benign Inquisition album page. Damaged is track #3 and Care in the Community is track #5.

There is still a lot of work to be done by Dark Company to complete these tracks in terms of performance and production. The bass and guitar were recorded just as guide tracks and are rather shoddy and the drums are not right yet. These mixes give a mere impression of the how the songs will be and they can be considered as being in the early stages of finalisation.

If you would like to listen to these two newly uploaded songs, simply click here and press the ‘play’ button in the Flamplayer when the new Benign Inquisition tab opens.

Dark Company: Bright Monsters and Heavy Touch

Posted by Wudmaster on 01/07/14

Bright Monsters and Heavy Touch have been upgraded and added to the Benign Inquisition album by Dark Company, replacing the previous versions. These are only alpha mixes so need much work doing in terms of the guitars to be recorded properly using amplifiers, the drums to be fixed, mixing tweaks and mastering.

All of the old versions of songs on the Benign Inquisition album have been removed and new versions will be added in the coming days.

Bright Monsters is the opener to the album and is a darkly humourous heavy rock song with a killer chorus to incite mighty moshing.

Heavy Touch is track two and keeps up the rocking tempo with its feedback guitar (that, somewhat comically, wouldn’t feed back properly through the studio monitors) and its singalong earworm chorus.

To listen to these two splendid songs right now, simply click here and press ‘play’ on the Flamplayer in the new tab that opens. Enjoy!

If you would like to hear the original demo versions of Bright Monsters and Heavy Touch, they are on Dark Company’s Demos page, which will open if you click here.

Pok: CD launch date announced

Posted by Wudmaster on 01/07/14

Pok has announced a CD launch date for some new music he has been working on. There will also be a relaunch of some back catalogue material by the Space Goats.

The event will take place on the evening of Tuesday 9th September at the Assembly Rooms, Glastonbury.

Details are minimal at present. We shall let you know the names of the CDs that are being launched and full details of the evening’s event.

Dark Company: Benign Inquisition sonic upgrade

Posted by Wudmaster on 01/07/14

The Benign Inquisition album from Dark Company has recently had something of a sonic upgrade and all the songs are now at alpha stage. This means that some of the key elements of tracks are present and that a number of elements of each track are at least in the right general areas as far as how they will be when finished, even though they may not be right yet. Just about all of the live instruments will need to be played properly rather than using the guides laid down here and final editings and mixing and mastering must take place.

The previous versions were lifted off a cassette, so the improvement in quality here will be highly apparent.

We shall be uploading the upgraded tracks in ones and twos over the next few days.

In other Dark Company news, Pete’s worsening health continues to be cause for concern. The band are demoing up all manner of new songs for a twelfth album, and of the many tracks that we have heard already, we can safely say that it will be another wonderful collection of fantastic songs, as we have had various of them stuck in our collective heads.

There have also been a few other odd sonic upgrades performed to various Dark Company tracks, and we shall upload these for you as well.
