To show a little of the reggae influence on Dark Company we have created a new compilation playlist called A Touch of Skank for Dark Company‘s non album-specific pages here at Wud Records. Can of Worms seems to be the skankiest Dark Company album, and Benign Inquisition the least, with that one being the only album not making a contribution to the playlist. The band are slowly putting together a new album, which will be adding a track or two to this compilation.

The current playlist replaces the Heavenly Harmonicas compilation Dark Company made previously. We hope to change the compilations every so often.

All of the alpha mixes of the Noir album from Dark Company have received a sonic upgrade and all 18 files have been uploaded to the Noir page at Wud Records, replacing the previous files.

As these are only alpha mixes there is obviously a lot of work to do before they are finished and released properly. This is a special sneak preview for Dark Company fans to hear how their favourite band’s eleventh album is developing.

Back in August 2013 the web traffic for Wud Records reached a new monthly high and almost broke the 3000 unique hits mark for the first time. This is an improvement of around 7% on our previous record, which was set in October 2012.

Curiously, this figure was achieved during a time when our office technology was largely broken for the second half of the month, which means word of mouth played a big part.

We would like to say a massive thank you to all 2955 of our visitors in August and hope you enjoyed yourselves while you were here, and do come back soon. Oh, and please tell your friends about Wud Records and how splendid we are!

We finally uploaded Broken Tubes and Listen, the final two sonic upgrades for the Mind Dance album by Dark Company. Broken Tubes is track #13 and Listen track #14 of Mind Dance. This brings the entire collection up to full alpha status.

Dark Company have not been very active in recent times as they have been busy with other commitments or suffering illness. Dark Company hope to be able to return to the important business of making music again soon.

These two latest mixes are produced to full alpha stage. Both Broken Tubes and Listen will require further performance and production work before they are completed, as indeed will the rest of the alpha mixes from the Mind Dance album.
