Posted by Wudmaster on 19/09/11

The album art for At Least 1000 Words by Flicker has been tweaked and added to the album download package in our shop at Bandcamp. Previews of the album art have been uploaded to Flicker’s gallery here at Wud Records.

If you would like to view the artwork in their gallery, you can do so by clicking here, and to download the album with its new artwork package you can click here.

There will be more new artwork packages added to our Bandcamp shop in the near future.

We have started to post information about our most popular songs and the amount of plays and downloads they receive at our Bandcamp site, for those interested in such things.

Our weekly Top Ten chart is posted to Facebook, here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wud-Records/150800594992468?sk=notes

We also have a monthly Top Twenty chart, which is in the forums here: http://www.wudrecords.co.uk/forums/topic.php?id=902

Ug Brothers: Explicit Music pages added

Posted by Wudmaster on 10/09/11

All of the lyrics and song information for the 1995 Cute But Weird album by The Ug Brothers have been published at the Explicit Music website. The Ug Brothers have their own special sub-publisher, Ug Music, and this has been noted at the Explicit Music website as well.

Sometime in the fairly near future we intend to link up the Cute But Weird page here to all the relevant pages at Explicit Music, but as this was rather a large job and we had to construct all of the pages from scratch we are going to have a lie-down in a darkened coffin of damp soil first.

If you would like to read The Ug Brothers lyrics and song facts and trivia, you can do so by clicking here.

We would very much like to remix and remaster Cute But Weird sometime and unfortunately the mechanical parts of the recording machines of Studio Three, where the album was originally created, are non-functional and will take a minor miracle, a decent budget and somebody with an overwhelming collection of spanners to repair. However, at Wud Records we never say never, and if this becomes a possibility at some time in the future we shall let you know.

Dark Company: two songs added to Alien Heat

Posted by Wudmaster on 05/09/11

Two new alpha mixes of songs from Dark Company’s Alien Heat album have been added to the appropriate mp3 player. The songs added are The Winds of Heaven and Asylum Child.

Both still need a lot of work before they are completed, although we thought you might like to hear how they are progressing. If you would like to listen to the Alien Heat album, you can do so by clicking here.

Wud Records: traffic up and up!

Posted by Wudmaster on 01/09/11

We are very pleased to announce that our traffic continues to grow and grow and we would like to thank everyone who visits the Wud Records website, especially those of you that support us by buying downloads from our shop! We have been publishing our top ten songs by downloads and plays at Bandcamp in the notes section of our Facebook page, which you can access by clicking here.

Traffic figures in July 2011 were our previous best and the new figures for August 2011 smashed those by a whopping 15%. We hope that you will spread the word that Wud Records will soon dominate the entire universe so that our traffic will continue to grow.

At this rate of proliferation, the only traffic on the web will be coming to Wud Records. Rather like the rate of proliferation of Elvis impersonators globally means that soon the entire planet will be populated only by Elvis impersonators. We wish you all a happy September. :)

Explicit Music: links upgraded

Posted by Wudmaster on 20/08/11

All of the ‘Listen Here’ links at Explicit Music have been upgraded so that they now redirect the internet surfer to the song at bandcamp.com where applicable, rather than back to the relevant band’s album page here at Wud Records.

Not all of the Explicit Music pages have a ‘Listen Here’ link, although there are many that do have them. We hope eventually that all such links will be redirected to songs for sale at our bandcamp.com shop, rather than band album pages here.
